Koora Gathering: Update
20 October, 2008

A team of elders, including the Masai hosts of the August Koora gathering, have visited Kangaten Woreda of Ethiopia and Turkana district of Kenya to discuss plans for the next gathering of Ethiopian and Kenyan pastoralists, which will focus on peace in the Turkana/South Omo/Toposa area.

Hudet, Somali Region (28 November): Pastoralists representing all the ethnic groups of Ethiopia's Somali National Regional State have decided to give priority to peace in the region in discussions that started today at a unique event in the region's Liban zone.
